The city of New Albany hosts the Biscuits & Jam Farmer’s Market and Folk Art on the River, which is the second Saturday of each month during the farmer’s market season.

2nd SATURDAYS FOLK ART ON THE RIVER
Call to Artists
Biscuits & Jam Farmers’ Market will host Folk Art on the River every 2nd Saturday during the market’s season. June 14th, July 12th and August 9th. Hours for 2nd Saturdays will be 7:30 am to 12 pm. Art work must be handmade. Ten free spaces will be available for the top ten applications. These spaces will include tent set up and up to two tables. A limited number of booths will be available for additional art vendors for $35 for the season.
This year’s Folk Art contest will be open to anyone with an original piece of Folk Art. Art work should be brought to the market by 10:30 for judging by a panel of local artists at 11:00. Winner will be announced at 11:30. $100 in Main Street Money that can be used at local stores in New Albany will be awarded. The themes this year are birds (June 14th), farmer (July 12th) and fish (August 9th). Like 2nd Saturdays Folk Art on the River’s Facebook page for more details on the contest as they are available.
The Wee Folk Art tent will be set up again this year for children to do folk art crafts during the event.
